Growing up in New York City was a true inspiration to me as a developing artist. Whether I was going across the street to see a show at Irving Plaza, or sneaking out to Smalls Jazz Club on the weekend with some friends, I was always excited and eager to take in all the live music that the city had to offer. I feel very fortunate that there was also a diverse array of vinyl and cassettes to listen to at home.

This enthusiasm for music led me to study guitar at Oberlin Conservatory. I graduated with a Bachelor of Music in 2006, returned to New York City, and began working with students of all ages and levels of ability. I also served on staff at the Bronx Preparatory Charter School for four years as a teaching artist.

A few years after earning my degree, I began to take an additional interest in music production and electronic music. I run a small studio on the Lower East Side where I host private guitar lessons, as well as offer guidance on other instruments and areas of interest including music theory, synthesis, sound design, recording, and mixing.
